I believe that there are many different ways of using nuclear energy; some are great; some not so much. I do not mind if doctors use nuclear radiation to fix someone's cancer, because little radiation is used, and not enough to have anything bad happen to the patient.
I also think that if they use nuclear energy to make electricity, it does not matter so much, and there is a lot of power coming from the nuclear reactor. Energy that is created is good and there is a lot of it.
Nuclear energy used to make electricity is fine, but radioactive materials comes from it. The nuclear waste should be put miles underground, instead of in landfills or mountains. They will probably make less of an impact on the environment. Nuclear waste can be very harmful and will stay active for many, many decades, so why not bury it?
I do not think that anyone should be able to use nuclear energy in weapons, not even governments. The bombs can only lead to more wars.
Nuclear disasters should be prevented. I think that they should shut down all the reactors in the world until they can find a solution to the problem. Is there any material on earth that can stop overheats, or block radiation? If they can find a material like that, the unstable material should be cased with it. that should stop it from becoming very harmful. This is my opinion on nuclear energy. You should think of yours.
